Jacksonville Recreation Center
Located on Peeples Street. The Recreation Center houses the Recreation Department offices. There is a weight room for working out, a junior size basketball court with easy access for volleyball. Various programs/classes offered throughout the year. Click here for more information.
Lake Jacksonville
Lake Jacksonville, approximately three miles from dowtown Jacksonville, built in the late 1950's as the City's main water source, comprises 25 miles of shoreline around 1,325 acre lake. Lake Jacksonville has become an outstanding recreational area, well known for fishing, skiing, camping and outdoor living.

Senior Citizens' Center
Located on Bolton Street. This building the senior program which is offered by the City from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. daily. There are refreshments served daily and lots of fellowship and dominoes. Periodic dances. For more information, call 586-1696.
Summers - Norman Pool
Located in Buckner Park. Host to a variety of activities some of which are City-sponsored. Swim lessons offered for a small fee ($1 Child [6-12 yrs]/$2 Adult [13-up]). Senior Citizens Water Aerobics. City also sponsors water aerobics in the evening hours, as well as adult lap swim sessions. The pool is available for private parties for a fee. Open Tuesday-Sunday, from May 31-August 15.
